Changes and new features in JeVois 1.20

JeVois 1.20 brings the following new features:

  • JeVois-Pro: New ability to clone and compile C++ modules directly on a running JeVois-Pro camera. It is a bit slow but runs well! The procedure to modify and recompile one of our bundled C++ modules is: 1) clone the module by using the clone option in the pop-up that comes up when you click "Create new machine vision module..." in the System tab of the GUI. This will clone the module into its own separate directory and compile it and run it. 2) Then you can edit its source code, and when you save your changes, the module will recompile and run.
  • JeVois-Pro: New demo mode that cycles through a variety of modules (defined in /jevoispro/config/demodata.yml). To enable, set a non-zero time in seconds (will be used for each demo) in parameter "demomode" of Engine (in the GUI, enable "Show systems parameters" to see the parameters of Engine).
  • Improved support for ONNX Runtime framework on CPU, both in C++ and in Python.
  • Fixed a bunch of warnings in some jevoisbase modules that we had not seen as some warnings are turned off because they trip various third party libraries.
  • Updated to OpenCV 4.8.0.
  • JeVois-Pro: added a button in the System tab to allow easy editing of fan config, which can allow you to find tune the threshold at which the fan will turn to full speed. Now detecting the presence of a Hailo chip and getting temperature from it if present.
  • JeVois-Pro: major reorganization of the CMake process and of contribs, they get installed to /jevoispro now to allow on-device compilation.
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes and performance improvements.
