Is there any or planned audio support

The chip and BSP support audio, however I wonder if the board itself can be extended for that.

No, we had to remove the audio part, as it was taking too much PCB space and required clean dedicated analog power, etc. The assumption hence is that audio, if needed, would be handled by another component of your overall system (e.g., your main CPU board to which your JeVois camera is connected).
