Virtual Camera Input for JeVois on Host

0 votes

I would like to test the code running on the JeVois with simulated images. Is there a way to make the host build read the camera input from a file or another form of "virtual" input?

The only idea I had so far was writing a tool that acts like a web cam driver but that seems a bit cumbersome.

Yes, please see the parameter cameradev of jevois-daemon here: http://jevois.org/doc/JeVoisDaemon.html

Basically, you would run: jevois-daemon --cameradev=movie.avi --videomapping=XX

Where XX is the mapping number for the module you want to run (as returned by listmappings).
