nothing wrong, it is compiling now and has not yet been released, we have been battling for days to get to just be able to login on fresh bionic installs using our NIS+autofs user accounts, and finally found the workaround (systemd-logind has been sandboxed in bionic and is hence blocked from communicating with the NIS server).

hopefully will be able to push it by tonight, otherwise monday...

the jevois 1.8.1 debs for ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04 have been pushed, and instructions updated at jevois.usc.edu

a video showing the install steps is uploading at https://youtu.be/pgd7pW1XDU8 and should be ready in a few hours.
