Jevois does not working on Windows 10

0 votes
HI.

I sucessfully installed Jevois drivers in Windows 10, but when I try to open Jevois Creator or choose it in AMCap, the image appears for some seconds and after that it simply disappears and the cam is disconnected. In Jevois Tech Zone I tryed some suggestions, like creating some registry inputs, but it didnĀ“t work. I have also the last jevois SD image installed. Any suggestion to fix this this issue?

Thanks

Usually, this means that the host computer cannot provide enough power, or the port is too noisy. Sometimes this happens when you use a tablet, a laptop, or a desktop's "front panel" USB ports, as those often use a plain ribbon cable to connect to the motherboard, while they should use twisted pair cables with precisely matched lengths between data+ and data-. You should try to connect JeVois to ports that are directly attached to the motherboard (usually, in the back of the computer).

Please see http://jevois.org/doc/UserConnect.html for more on power.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I've tried the Y cable, the main part connected to laptop, the other to another USB or to an external power source. The problem is still happening, that is, the cam works for 10, 15 seconds and suddenly shuts down (there is a typical sound that happens when the USB  is disconnects,  just before the image disappears).. It happens both on AMCap and Jevois Inventor. The two drivers in device manager seems to be correct installed (Jevois  A33 and Microsoft COM driver). Any other idea? Maybe some problem in Windows 10 version? A problem in the drivers? I tried connecting to all USB ports in the notebook, all of them have the same problem.
Thanks
