Green light remains on

Question

Hi, new to Jevois.

I've got a device that I'm not able to detect it on Linux. dmesg shows nothing even after a few minutes. Light remains green on the device. I haven't seen orange or anything else.

I've tried 3 different cables on different (usb2/usb3) ports, even on different computers.
2 cables have the 28AWG/1P - 24AWG/2C mark on them.
The other is a Y cable also with 24AWG/2C mark.

The disk is a a Kingston 32GB micro SD

I've formatted it twice and was able to mount all filesystems without problem.

Any ideas?

Is the card fully in, as shown in the pictures here:

if you have short fingernails, you may want to push it in using a credit card or such, just beware that if you slip, the microSD will fly out, so be ready to catch it.

every unit is tested twice at the factory, so we have not had many defects, but if you believe you may have a bad camera, please email us at jevoisinc@gmail.com with your order number and we will ship you a replacement unit to try out.

Buying a new 16GB (and not 32GB) card made the system work.

oh, thanks for the update, good to know, we usually do not think about trying a different SD card. We do use 32GB cards here routinely (Sandisk Extreme Pro V30, we can run a jevois-flash-card on those in just over 1 minute) so maybe it is more related to the brand or condition of your original card.
