Parents have currently had a great deal of the rhinitis viruses. Adults have actually acquired immunity to the colds they have actually had. So there are not quite as many runny nose infections remaining for adults to catch. That is why adults only acquire a couple of runny noses each year whereas kids succumb to a dozen colds annually.
