Jevois Driver does not register on Windows

0 votes
I loaded the new image 1.2.0 , and while reconnecting camera it looks like the driver does not seems to be registering correctly, looking at device manager, the driver is called ''Video Control'' I am running on Windows 10 , and I suspect that Microsoft added a new layer of difficulties to registers some drivers. Anyone experienced same problem ?

BTW , the Jevois works fine on my RPI using gucview, so its not hardware or image corruption related.

"video control" is ok (it is the name we give to the control unit, which is one of the units that make up a usb camera). Not sure why windows is not reporting manufacturer and model strings like everyone else but that is non fatal.

We have had previous successes with win10 so maybe the newly added virtual flash drive is confusing your host?

Can you try to create a file called nousbsd in the BOOT partition of the microSD to disable the virtual usb drive? Pls see here fir other posdibly useful options: http://jevois.org/doc/Debugging.html

We currently do not have win10 machines here but we are due to set one up soon to help with such isdues...

I know that the latest patch has impacted some camera drivers, so this is why I suspect i might be the case here. I cannot access the serial port either. In both case they are showing on the device manager and on both cases the application crash (both AMCap and Terraterm)
Just to confirm == I disabled the usbsd (nousbsd file in BOOT) and checked it was really disabled ;-)

Restarted my window in no signature driver mode and plugged the JeVois and..same story.... drivers are mapping but we cannot access them = Both TeraTerm & AMCAp are crashing
